Calgary has no dedicated neighborhood for the LGBT community since the whole city is gay-friendly. This means that most nightclubs are welcoming to non-straight genders. Some even host parties that are LGBT-centric. 

Dance parties like “Hot Mess” are held constantly in bars all over the city. Places like the Cowboys Dance Hall and Music Mile’s “Lolita’s Lounge” welcome drag performers to conduct their performances for public audiences. This practice has been ongoing for years, and no negative feedback is ever received.
